"The insurance company collaborated with the Spanish Sports Federation for people with Physical Disabilities (FEDDF) in holding a sports day that took place on 7 October in Madrid with the aim of raising public awareness of the barriers that people with disabilities face and their integration into society."
Plus Ultra Seguros reaffirmed its support for the Spanish Sports Federation for people with Physical Disabilities (FEDDF) and sponsored in Madrid the “50 years of sport without equal” sports day promoted and developed by the FEDDF as part of its 50th birthday celebrations.
In this sense, the company joined in the holding of this sports day with the aim of educating and raising public awareness of the difficulties that people with disabilities have to face in their daily life and in their integration into society.
The general sales manager of Plus Ultra Seguros, Luis Vallejo, stressed that for the insurance company “it is an honour to collaborate with the FEDDF in a sporting event of this level the objective of which is inclusion and raising awareness in society of the barriers that people with disabilities face”. With this collaboration, Plus Ultra Seguros continues the support shown towards the FEDDF, seeing that in 2017 the insurance company sponsored the European wheelchair basketball championship.
During the “50 years of sport without equal” sports day different workshops on adapted sports took place outdoors where everyone who wished to do so could play the sports on equal terms with the disabled athletes.
Therefore, Madrid's Paseo del Prado was the scene chosen to play a variety of adapted sports such as boccia, badminton, table tennis, cycling, fencing, hockey, basketball, weightlifting, volleyball, slalom, archery or football, among others.
