The Catalana Occidente Group is one of Spain’s leading insurance groups. It is constantly growing and expanding. Founded in 1864, La Catalana joined forces with Occidente in 1959 to form the Catalana Occidente Group. Since then it has been one of the largest independent insurers in Spain, with no ties to any other financial institution or foreign group.
